Our Client is one of the oldest P&I clubs in the UK with a reputation for providing cover for small, specialised craft. They have enjoyed substantial business growth over the last 18 months and are now seeking to build the team in Singapore with the hire of an underwriting assistant.
Responsibilities include:
• To service business ensuring prompt issue of completely accurate documentation;
• To prepare quotes, renewal terms, claims statistics and/or other reports as required;
• Advise underwriters of outstanding premium position at time of production of documentation;
• To deal with telephone enquiries at times when underwriters are otherwise engaged.
The ideal candidate must have previous underwriting experience (as you will be working with minimal supervision) and P&I/marine insurance experience would be particularly useful. The role involves working closely with expatriates and solid written and spoken English is vital. Candidates must be available for interview at the Singapore office.
