Our Global 100 client's full service London office is recognised as one of the premier legal advisers in the City and enjoys a formidable reputation for its expertise in both domestic and international litigation, arbitration and ADR. It is consistently ranked as one of the leading firms globally for commercial litigation. It is the breadth of the firm’s practice and the experience and quality of its practitioners that distinguish it from its competitors and makes it an automatic choice for high calibre clients and lawyers alike.

They have instructed us to locate for them a contentious IP associate with at least 3 years PQE to join their market leading team. The work in this practice area covers all aspects of intellectual property law, including patents, copyright, designs and databases, trade marks and passing off, domain names, plant breeders’ rights, collective licensing disputes and comparative advertising.

The successful applicant will be need to be a highly technical and 'hands-on' associate with a strong enthusiasm for, and understanding of, the practical and technical elements of hard IP law, including for example electronic engineering, maths, physics or computer programming. Ideally you will not just be degree-educated in one of these areas, but will be keen to regularly use your skills and knowledge of one or more of these disciplines as part and parcel of the legal role, on a day to day basis. The successful applicant may be reviewing object source as part of a software theft case, or conducting a review of 3G mobile telephone technology from a technical and legal standpoint.

To be considered you will simply need to be exceptional in every department and if you are, this is an opportunity that cannot be missed.
