The London based US corporate group at this high profile international firm is at full capacity. The team is relatively small but punches well above it weight – working on many of the biggest deals (billion-dollar size more often than not) in the European market. They have developed a track record in advising investment banks and corporations (underwriter/issuer split approximately 70/30) on a wide range of domestic and international securities offerings, including in particular IPOs, rights offerings and other equity capital market transactions. They are often called upon to advise clients in relation to M&A transactions and are well placed to secure this work when instructions are available.
They are very keen to grow at the mid-senior associate level and would like to speak with applicants that have at least 4 years deal experience gained with a leading New York firm either in the US or London. You will committed to remaining in Europe for the long-term as our client envisages the right calibre associates being able to develop a serious business case strong enough for partnership in 2-3 years – depending on entry level . As a firm, they will do all they can to support their senior associates in this objective. Unlike many of their competitors, they are able to evidence their success in promoting their London based associates to partnership and are keen to continue this internal development programme with the addition of new talent who are committed and able to grasp the opportunity.
To conclude, if you are academically superb with a high class JD and are working for one of the leading US firms on either side of the Atlantic – our client has a story worth hearing and most definitely an opportunity worth considering for a truly ambitious lawyer. The career progression is phenomenal and the packages (New York rates + COLA) are designed to attract and retain the best available US corporate talent.
